Conjure

Terms of Use

How you and Conjure agree to play.

Last updated May 10, 2026. Plain language first, the legal cover follows. Questions go to fadi@maivenx.com.

The short version

  • Conjure is an early-stage solo project. Use it at your own risk. It works, but it's not an enterprise SLA product.
  • The concept, the MVP, the product idea, and the user-facing design of Conjure belong to Fadi Abbas, with full respect for every third-party API and library it depends on.
  • You retain ownership of what you create — your scenarios, transcripts, custom personas, and the rendered videos attributed to your sessions.
  • You agree not to use Conjure to impersonate, harass, defame, or generate content involving anyone whose likeness or voice you don't have the right to use.
  • Conjure's avatars are AI-generated. They are not real people and their words are not real opinions.

Ownership and intellectual property

Conjure (the product)

The Conjure concept, the product idea, the MVP, the user-experience design, the brand, the wordmark, the prompt engineering, and all original code authored for Conjure belong to Fadi Abbas. All rights reserved.

Third-party software and APIs

Conjure depends on, integrates with, and gives full credit to third-party services and open-source libraries — most notably Runway (Gen-4 Image, Runway Characters, Avatar Videos, Seedance 2), Anthropic (Claude), Deepgram, LiveKit, Supabase, Next.js, and React. Each of these is the property of its respective owner and is governed by its own terms of service. Conjure makes no claim of ownership over any of them. Use of Conjure is also implicitly subject to Runway's and Anthropic's acceptable-use policies for content generated through their APIs.

Your content

Anything you input — scenarios, persona descriptions, uploaded photos, transcripts of your spoken contributions during use of the room — remains yours. By using Conjure, you grant Conjure a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you (running the live session, generating the summary, postmortem, and cinematic shot). Conjure does not republish your content publicly. The Featured Examples on the Reflections page are sessions explicitly chosen and curated by Fadi Abbas as demos.

Generated outputs

Videos and text generated by the underlying AI models (via Runway and Anthropic) are subject to those providers' terms regarding ownership and usage. You may download, share, and use your generated outputs for personal and non-commercial purposes. Commercial use should be checked against Runway's and Anthropic's terms.

Acceptable use

Don't use Conjure to:

  • Generate or stage content that targets a real person without their consent in a way that's defamatory, harassing, or sexual.
  • Upload photos of people whose likeness you don't have the right to use.
  • Create avatars or content involving minors as the subject of the room.
  • Generate content that would violate Runway's or Anthropic's acceptable-use policies (illegal activity, hate speech, CSAM, election manipulation, etc.). Their moderation runs upstream of Conjure and may reject your uploads or prompts.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass the session-length, rate-limit, or feature-gate controls in the product.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Conjure product itself or derivative copies thereof.

Violations may result in immediate suspension of your access and removal of associated content.

Real-photo personas — your responsibility

When you upload a photo of a real person to create a custom persona, you warrant that you either are that person, you have their explicit consent, or the use is otherwise legally permitted (e.g. clearly public-figure context for educational use in a private session).

If someone whose likeness has been used through Conjure contacts us at fadi@maivenx.com, we will remove the avatar and any associated room artifacts within 7 days.

Service availability

Conjure is provided on an as-is / as-available basis. We do not guarantee uptime, persistence of data, or that any feature will continue to be offered. Server-side room data has a 7-day retention window by default in the Redis cache; signed-in users get durable Postgres storage but should still treat any individual artifact as non-permanent.

Sessions are capped at 5 minutes by Runway's Realtime Sessions limit. We may further rate-limit usage to keep API costs sustainable.

No professional advice

Conjure builds rooms of conversations. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, psychological, employment, or any other kind of professional advice. The avatars are AI-generated simulations and their responses are not the actual opinions or positions of any real person, even when modeled after one. Decisions you make based on a Conjure room are your own.

Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conjure and Fadi Abbas disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In no event will Fadi Abbas be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or in connection with your use of Conjure or with any content you generate through it. Aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid for Conjure in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as Conjure evolves. Material changes will be flagged in the app and dated at the top of this page. Your continued use of Conjure after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Conjure operator, Fadi Abbas, primarily resides, without regard to conflicts-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in good faith correspondence first; binding resolution otherwise as required by applicable law.

All contact, requests, takedown notices, and questions go to fadi@maivenx.com.
